Ana Paula dos Santos
Ana Paula dos Santos is an artist and researcher born in Santos, Brazil, currently based in Frankfurt am Main. She is pursuing a degree in Fine Arts at the Städelschule under the mentorship of Willem de Rooij and has also studied cultural anthropology and human geography at Goethe University in Frankfurt. Dos Santos’ work has been exhibited internationally, including at Forum 1822 and the Frankfurt History Museum, where her work has been part of the collection since 2021. Her contributions to the museum include participation in the 2022 intervention against racism in the art collection and the 2024 “Stadt der Fotograf*innen” exhibition. In Brazil, her work has been shown at MAM Bahia (Museum of Modern Art Bahia) and Acervo da Laje in Salvador/Bahia.She was a resident artist at Vila Sul, Goethe Institut Bahia, within the "Rethinking the South / Rethinking the City" program, where she served as an art mentor for the Festival „Melanina Acentuada“ with the project City as a Stage: Visual and Decolonial Narratives of the Urban Through the Black Gaze. Dos Santos is represented by Sakhile&me Gallery in Frankfurt am Main.
